The Release Technique was discovered in 1952 by Lester Levenson. At the age of 42, Lester had suffered his second major heart attack. At that time medical science had not progressed to the level of sophistication available to us today. Lester's physicians told him they could not help him, and sent him home, expecting he would die within a few weeks.

Lester was a physicist, an engineer, a successful businessman and a self-made millionaire. But all of his education and his wealth were useless in the face of his impending death. 

He began a process of self inquiry and exploration that led to a total cure of his physical condition. All of his miseries dropped away and he found himself in a place in which he was happy all the time. He had attained the state of Self Realization or enlightenment.

Lester lived another 42 years. He spent the second half of his life helping others learn the secret he had discovered for himself. Before his passing he asked several of his students to carry on his work.

Since that time, Larry Crane, one of Lester's foremost students, has been teaching Releasing in his course called The Abundance Course. Until recently, the only way one could learn this material was to attend a private course. Now, after years of development, The Abundance Course is available on tape and in book form.
